2016 Glowtini Contest – Where the holidays begin!

The 6th Annual Glowtini Contest is set for Thursday, December 8th

The contest venue is the Royal Canadian Legion. Serving time is 8 pm, participants to arrive by 7:30 pm. Contestant order will be announced at the event.

• The theme is “Farm to Cocktail” Bring your recipe in writing, your ingredients and inspiration. You will prepare your martini on-site for tasting and judging. Bring at least enough for 5 Martini’s, 3 judges, 1 to be auctioned off and 1 or more for safe measure.
• Recipes made must include at least 1 local ingredient.
• Judges scoring criteria: presentation, Finish, Balance & Texture, Taste, Colour & Festiveness, overall Performance, the use of local ingredient and Glow factor.
• Participating Restaurants must be prepared to make and serve their Glowtini throughout December as part of our new “People’s Choice Award”. Please note we are no longer expecting restaurants to serve the winning cocktail but instead you will serve and sell your version of the Glowtini. $1 from every Glowtini sale through December will be donated to Copper Kettle.
